A modern icon of Florida Gators basketball, Thomas Haugh has orange-and-blue DNA. Hailing from New Oxford, Pennsylvania, Tommy grew up dreaming of Gainesville thanks to legendary football star Tim Tebow. Haugh idolized the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback as a kid, becoming a rare Gators fan in his small Northeastern hometown. Safe to say, it was easy for Florida's head coach, Todd Golden, to get his attention when it came time to select a college. Once on campus, he made minimal impact as a freshman before blossoming into an important contributor on the 2024/25 National Championship squad. Haugh was the team's sixth man, primarily coming off the bench while logging significant minutes, especially throughout their incredible NCAA Tournament run. The path to a leading role opened during his junior season, and Tommy took full advantage. He averaged a team-high 17.1 points per game and earned All-American and All-SEC honors. Although he was projected as a lottery pick in the forthcoming NBA Draft, Haugh opted to return to the O'Dome for one final ride during his senior season. Now, the last chapter of his UF story remains unwritten. No matter what the future holds, one thing is clear: Tommy Haugh is a Gator for life.
